Topic: Physical AI Technology Realizing Next-generation Intelligent Mobility
Proposed by SICE
Automobiles have supported the evolution of people's lives by providing free movement of people and goods. Currently, by acquiring AI (artificial intelligence), it has become a physical AI and is on the verge of further evolution. Physical AI will realize next-generation intelligent mobility, such as autonomous driving and driver assistance systems that prevent traffic accidents and reduce driving loads. This physical AI control system is composed of various functions such as recognition, scene understanding, behavior prediction, action planning, and human-machine communication. In this speech, the diversifying next-generation mobility, the physical AI technology supporting it, and its latest research results will be introduced.

Topic: Tensor tracking and applications
Proposed by REV
Tensor decomposition has been demonstrated to be successful in a wide range of applications, from neuroscience and wireless communications to social networks. In an online setting, factorizing tensors derived from multidimensional data streams is however nontrivial due to several inherent problems of real-time stream processing. In recent years, many research efforts have been dedicated to developing online techniques for decomposing such tensors, resulting in significant advances in streaming tensor decomposition or tensor tracking. This topic is emerging and enriches the literature on tensor decomposition, particularly from the perspective of data stream analytics. In this talk, we will first provide fundamentals of tensor decomposition. Then, we will present the state-of-the-art methods into three main groups: streaming CP decompositions, streaming Tucker decompositions, and streaming decompositions under other new tensor formats. Finally, we will present several applications and research challenges.

Topic: AI-Based Video Analytics
IEEE WIE
This talk will explore the evolving landscape of video analytics, driven by advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) and deep learning. While surveillance cameras are ubiquitous for monitoring, their true potential lies in analyzing video content to extract actionable insights. Deep learning-based computer vision techniques, particularly those using multi-layer neural networks, have significantly improved video analytics performance. This presentation will examine current trends and research in this domain, including image super-resolution for improving image quality and video anomaly detection for proactive security monitoring. Furthermore, it will discuss the implementation of these advanced analytics on embedded systems, such as FPGAs and single-board computers, enabling efficient processing at the edge. Real-world applications and future directions of video analytics will also be addressed.
