Research Focus

Asst. Prof. Dr. Pareecha Rattanasiri’s research is in ship and marine hydrodynamics — the flow behavior and drag of underwater and surface-vehicle bodies. Her work, carried out in collaboration with researchers at the University of Southampton and, more recently, in China, has examined tailored trailing-edge foil geometries, the interaction forces between twin submerged bodies operating at close range, and the drag of twin prolate spheroids at varying spacing — problems directly relevant to formation-keeping and close-proximity maneuvering of underwater and surface vehicles.
