Research Focus

His research addresses how concrete structures can be made more sustainable and resilient, with a particular focus on fibre-reinforced polymer (FRP) strengthening and recycled aggregate concrete. Recent work reviews the use of recycled aggregate concrete in structural members across Southeast Asia and surveys emerging techniques for producing recycled concrete aggregate more sustainably, building on earlier foundational work on fracture energy in concrete and geosynthetic-reinforced pavements — spanning both new construction and the repair and strengthening of existing structures.
