Research Focus

His research, developed partly through a PhD collaboration with the Resilience Engineering Research Group at the University of Nottingham, addresses railway engineering reliability and safety — how to identify the most critical, failure-prone sections of a railway network, assess the risk posed by switch-and-crossing failures in urban rail transit, and predict delays on single-track intercity lines. This reliability- and risk-based approach to railway infrastructure connects directly to his listed interests in railway engineering, transportation, and road safety.
