Research Focus

As head of the Department of Civil Engineering, his research addresses geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering, including underground utility detection — using geophysical survey methods to locate and characterize buried infrastructure and subsurface conditions without excavation. His collaborative work on bedrock characterization for deep foundations connects subsurface investigation to practical foundation design for the region’s construction projects.
