ความเชี่ยวชาญ: Soil mechanics, Geotechnical engineering

Research Focus

An internationally recognized figure in geotechnical engineering, his work spans the mechanics of granular soils at the micro-scale to practical foundation design in the field. Using discrete element modeling, he has examined how soil fabric governs the behavior of sand, studied soil–pipeline interaction for buried infrastructure, and characterized the small-strain stiffness of natural clays — while also tackling applied problems such as standard penetration test energy ratios in Thailand, engineering characterization of bedrock for rock-socketed piles, and ground-borne vibration from pile driving.
